3 years ago, I fell at home and did not seek medical attention.  One week later, I began having symptoms resembling a stroke.  CT scan of my brain revealed I had a small bleed contributing to seizure-like symptoms.  I approached my neurologist to try low-pressure hyperbaric therapy and she was hesitant because she was not completely familiar with the process but when she heard who I was doing this with, she was comfortable, wrote the prescription and encourage me to proceed with the low-pressure hyperbaric therapy.

   After 20 sessions I had a follow up appt with my neurologist and she reiterated it would take probably 2-3 months before evidence of the bleed was gone.  I repeated the CT that day and she reported back to me that there was no evidence of the bleed anymore.  I continued with an additional 20 sessions and when I was done with the sessions, I was in better shape than prior to the accident.  I really like the idea of having this adjunct therapy available and affordable to help possibly speed up recovery from an injury.  It is an excellent complement to Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
